Smart
Valve - Applications
Smart Tray
A Smart Valve® is
connected to a water container and placed
into a suitable tray containing a layer of capillary matting
on the base of the tray, which transmits the water to plant
pots placed on the matting.
A 5l water container can maintain
a 1m2 tray of flowering plants for up to four weeks
and greenery plants for up to two months without the need
for re-watering.
Once the container is empty, it is simply replaced or re-filled
and the system becomes functional again and the watering cycle
continues.
Longer periods can be achieved simply by increasing the capacity
of the container. Growers can use the Smart
Valve® as
a sensor/dripper, running a line containing a Smart
Valve®
from a large water butt to control watering in a greenhouse
environment.

Smart Trough
This is similar to the Smart Tray except
that the trough has high sides to completely hide the pots.
The plants are watered on demand by a unitized water reservoir
(typically 5 litres), which is refilled when empty and continues
to water the plants in a simple user-friendly manner.
As well as simplifying the watering process, water consumption
can be readily seen on removal and accurately monitored.

Futuro Tripot System
Futuro Tripot consists of three pots set in a base tray
which also holds water for the plants use. Each three pot system incorporates a
patented Smart Valve to regulate the flow of water into the base reservoir. The
Smart Valve’s adjustable depth regulator allows growers to vary water reservoir
volumes to best suit season and plant species.
This system provides user-friendly fool proof plant care.
