[November 2011] Smart Tech at Horti Fair, Amsterdam 2011
Between Tuesday 1st and Friday 4th November Smart Tech Ltd exhibited at the Horti-Fair Exhibition in Amsterdam's RAI exhibition centre. For the first time ever visitors were able to see the Smart Valve in action on an exhibition stand in a small (for space reasons) self contained system. Over the four days visitors from all over the world crowded around the Smart Tech stand and the team picked up enquiries from over forty countries for the new Smart Valve. In addition to the Smart Valve, two other patented products generated much interest at the exhibition: The Smart Slice which extends the required time between waterings of pot plants and the HappiRoot Granules which can both be added to compost to increase water retention and aeration or used as a hydroponic medium for the cultivation of plants.

Professor Neil Graham, Chairman of Smart Tech Ltd travelled to the show for the launch and to meet a number of key journalists and potential customers and distributors from both the UK and abroad. Peter Field, Managing Director of Garden Innovations was delighted with the response from the knowledgeable visitors who came to the stand to see the Smart Valve. "We were very pleased with the response to the Smart Valve, and I am pleased to say that the majority of visitors appreciated seeing a genuine 'new product' not a revamped product or a changed or tweaked in design, the Smart Valve is a genuine new innovation in plant watering and feeding. Now for the first time the home grower can have a non-powered sensor to manage the watering of his plants in the greenhouse, patio, garden or indoors. We look forward to selling it early next year."
